The Complete Mazurkas of Karol Szymanowski

Pictured is my compact disc recording (2002) of the Complete Mazurkas of Karol Szymanowski. These exquisite mazurkas were the subject of my doctoral paper Karol Szymanowski: Revitalizing the Solo Piano Mazurka Genre (2001), my AMS Lowens Award lecture on that subject, and my paper The 'Szymanowski clash': Harmonic Conflict and Ambiguity in the Szymanowski Mazurkas, which won the 2003 Stefan and Wanda Wilk Prize for Research in Polish Music.
